DAILY
SCHEDULE
Our
faux painting technique classes run from 9am to 5pm each
day.
During class time you will have hands-on personalized
instruction as well as
lectures to teach you the most requested and profitable
faux finishes to date.
The faux finish school will provide all the tools needed
for your technique work
while you are here in the classroom learning your techniques,
so you won't need
to bring any tools of your own. In fact, we include a
faux painting business kit, or tool box
in the Professional Faux Finishes
- Level II class!
The faux finishing materials used in the beginning
faux painting class are
non-toxic, water-based and easy to control - this helps
ensure you will be confident
not only in your ability to recreate the finishes taught
in class once you return home,
but develop your own style and finishes when the need
arises.
In
the mornings you will find a continental breakfast in
the kitchen with coffee,
pastries and munchies of all types, and there is always
juice and soft drinks in the
refrigerator. The faux painting studio provides the students
with lunches each day from
one of the great restaurants in the area. (If you have
special diet requirements, just let us
know ahead of time.)
Dinner each night is up to you, with the exception of
Thursday evening when the studio
takes everyone to the world famous Opryland Hotel for
a business dinner!
During
the business dinner we put our heads together and discuss
how to "fine-tune"
and apply what you have learned in class
to fit your particular market needs. We'll discuss
business strategies for the beginners, and solutions to
challenges for the faux painting artist
already running a business.
The Gaylord Opryland was chosen to host our business dinner
due the tremendous
amount of faux painting work done throughout the hotel.
There are many, many examples
of different levels of quality and styles of decorative
painting and faux finishes to see,
not to mention the outstanding food!
The dress is business casual. Be sure to bring your camera...
